Modern Chinese can take in these words with an open mind and standardized system, and make these loanwords properly embedded in Modern Chinese by relying mainly on free translation.

This paper investigates the role of the Chinese EFL learners background knowledge in his success of oral interpretation through an experimental study.
结果表明 :(1)背景知识与口译成效呈正相关 ,背景知识对口译的各个环节均有促进作用 ;(2 )有无背景知识可能导致口译成效的显著性差异 ;(3)口译成效与语言水平相关 ,但语言缺陷可以通过激活图式的能力来补偿 ;(4)口译是一个多因素相互作用的复杂过程 ,仅凭背景知识恐怕无法清楚地解释口译的种种现象。
