前后测量设计在心理学和医学领域应用非常广泛，心理学中的前后测量设计的应用主要是量表的调查，在某一间隔时间内对同一批观察对象就同一份量表进行重复调查，两次测量主要是测量时间的不同，并没有施加任何干预，因此可以通过两次测量值间的相关分析估计重测信度的高低；医学科研中的大多数前后测量设计不同于心理学的量表调查，医学研究的目的主要是考察处理效应是否存在，所以通常是施加处理或者干预之后再对同一批观察对象进行第二次测量，两次测量的条件不完全相同，如何估计它的重测信度就是一个需要研究的问题，并且两次测量值差值的信度也是一直存在争议的问题，所以本课题目的之一是探讨医学科研中前后测量设计的测量信度和差值的信度。
